Wedding planning #6 - MOB/MOG tote bags

Happy friday everyone!

I hope that you had a wonderful week, I'm here today to share another wedding project with you.  I want to make sure I post all my Wedding creations so I don't miss any.  I know that Special Day will be here before we know it and one day I can look back an remember all these projects.  Today me and my fiance went for a ride to continue our wedding planning.   We came across this adorable dunkin donuts which I had to snap a picture of... I think all DD's look the same in the US but this one was deft different...

sorry about the sideway picture, but you can tell that its totally different at least around here...

So after our stop of DD's we went to our favorite stores Acmoore & Michaels.  This time I wanted to work on something for the Mother of the Bride & Mother of the Groom. So I ended up walking out with more goodies... :0) FUN!!

I purchase two of these Canvas tote bag

and Iron-on Rhinestone for the MOB & MOG

and here is my fininshed project.

Tote will be filled with items which I'm not going to disclosure since I know my family is sneaking up on my blog to READ!!! hheheheh

I hope you enjoyed my post today, have a wonderful weekend everyone.

Wedding planning #5 - Ring Pillow

Happy Monday everyone!

I hope that you had a wonderful weekend!  I have a new project to share with you today, which I been working on.   Since I'm a DIY bride I been trying to find some ideas for the ring bearer (which is my son) At first I was thinking of a book or a boxe... but  I came across this idea over on this blog... (if you would like to check)

My pillow is not complete yet but I will make sure to post it once i'm done.

Materials needed:

Unbleached Muslin (you can purchase at Acmoore or Michael's)
Burlap - you can buy this at Joann's - 2 pieces of a 5x5
Printer

Here is how I did my ring bearer pillow.

1. I created a calendar on the computer using microsoft excel.  Used a piece of muslin fabric, about half size of a regular printer paper and taped each corner to the paper.  Inserted to the printer and printed at low speed it print perfectly to the fabric.

2. I cut a piece of iron on adhesive to the back of the fabric and ironed to the burlap for a few minutes.

3. Sow the 2 pieces of burlap to create a pillow.  (I'm not a sowing person but I had my tailor sowed the two pieces for me, creating this lovely pillow) I'm not finished with this project yet but I wanted to show you how cute it turned out.

I hope you enjoyed my post today.

Have a wonderful monday!!!!

Wedding Planning - 3rd post (savethedate)

Happy Wednesday everyone!!!

I can't believe another week is going by... I wanted to share another project which was finished last week and finally mailed out!

After several attempts and decisions on the SAVE the DATE cards, here is the finished project.

For this project I used:

Burlap (off course) you can purchase it at Michaels or Joann's
CTMH Kraft paper (I used the CTMH 12x12 card stock)
CTMH Colonial White Card stock  (perfect for this color combo)
Rafia (michael's)
Companion Emboss folder
Mod Podge

I'm sorry to say,  but I dont have a picture before this came together... but what I did was ...

cut the burlap 4x6 and glued it with mod podge to the kraft paper

After the first step came together my next thing was the wording for the SAVE the DATE....

first attempt

after several attempts it all came together, the more I looked at it the more in Love I was with it.

Final touch, added rafia to both corners and
to compliment the emboss card I embossed
the envelope as well....

Final project after all its process :0)

all ready to go.

I hope you all enjoyed my post today.

Have a wonderful night and be sure to come back this FRIDAY for another DT Challenge.

Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss

Hi everyone!!!

I'm on a roll here two posts in one day!! I wanted to share a project I recently finished for my son class.  Sean's teacher asked if the parents could volunteer to make these shirts for the kids.
So off course without hesitation I was on it.

First I traced the Cat and the hat onto white fabric with adhesive on the back (previously done by the teacher)

Second line the desired design to the shirt.

Third using the iron on medium temperature press
onto the fabric for about 1 minute all around

After that was completed, I use fabric paint red and black to finish the design.

Today we celebrated Dr. Suess birthday in the morning by having the parents make breakfast for the kids.   It was really fun and I'm sure the kids had a wonderful time. The shirts came out very cool.  I'm so glad I volunteer to do this project. I have learned something new.

Here are a picture of today's event.

I hope you enjoyed my post today.
Have a wonderful day!
