Scrapbooking Classes - Lesson 2

Hi guys, some of you may know that I have been taking scrapbooking classes over at Michaels for the past two weeks.  I been doing scrapbooking for 10 years now and I never completed one album. So the reason that I took this course, is not only I wanted to dedicate this class to continue my son scrapbooking album you also get a certificate at the end of the course.

The first week we learned the basics of scrapbooking, which are:
1. Record Memories (who/what/where/why)
2. Recollect Memories (make copies of original photos, scrapbook the copied photos)
3. Organizing Photos ( always use ACID-FREE material when scrapbooking, this will prevent your photos from damaging)

Here is my first LO (layout) for my second class.

Hope you enjoy and get some ideas from my project.

My first Pop Up Card

So today I went to drop off my son at school and I received a present from one of my son's classmate's mother. At first when we meet she was just Adam's mom and I was Sean's mom.  As time went by and from interacting with the same person every day at the same time...  the conversations become stronger and closer each day. I'm so glad that I have met Jen. She is a very honest and kind person and for that I'am grateful she is a part of my life.

Besides having both of our kids in the same class, we come to find that we have a lot more in common.  We both love our Iphone's , we love texting and we love candles.

I received these from her today, as a Mother's day gift.

So on my way back home, I was thinking what Am ' I going to give her... without me even thinking twice I knew just the thing.... got in the door and I walked straight to my pink patio so I can make her a card... what else is better when you create something handmade and from your heart. :0)

So I wanted to make a different kind of card and this is the card I made for my friend Jen today. :0)
This is a pop up card. One of my newest followers shared the link with me, and I got the idea from there.

The candles smell sooooo good.... I don't know which one to light up first. and which one was going to be on my patio and the other one in my room.

Thank you Jen for being such a caring person.

I still have to put up shelfs but I think after that I'm all done.

Hope my room will bring you motivation and new ideas for your room. :0)
