Wedding Planning - 3rd post (savethedate)

Happy Wednesday everyone!!!

I can't believe another week is going by... I wanted to share another project which was finished last week and finally mailed out!

After several attempts and decisions on the SAVE the DATE cards, here is the finished project.

For this project I used:

Burlap (off course) you can purchase it at Michaels or Joann's
CTMH Kraft paper (I used the CTMH 12x12 card stock)
CTMH Colonial White Card stock  (perfect for this color combo)
Rafia (michael's)
Companion Emboss folder
Mod Podge

I'm sorry to say,  but I dont have a picture before this came together... but what I did was ...

cut the burlap 4x6 and glued it with mod podge to the kraft paper

After the first step came together my next thing was the wording for the SAVE the DATE....

first attempt

after several attempts it all came together, the more I looked at it the more in Love I was with it.

Final touch, added rafia to both corners and
to compliment the emboss card I embossed
the envelope as well....

Final project after all its process :0)

all ready to go.

I hope you all enjoyed my post today.

Have a wonderful night and be sure to come back this FRIDAY for another DT Challenge.

  4. Save the Date postcards seem to be popular nowadays. I like that you placed yours in an envelope. Rcvd the postcard one recently and it was bent & damaged by the postal machines. With the burlap I'm figuring you had to add additional postage since the envelope would be a bit puffy & not flat.
